Approval of General Journal By Person who did not Enter the JV

We have 3 individuals who will be entering general journal in the system and we have approvals turned on. These same individuals are the ones that can also approve the journals. I need a way that the individual who entered the General Journal cannot also approve his own journal. What is the best way to handle this

Hi Amanda,

You can use the below parameter turned on, I hope it will solve your issue.

Sys admin->> Workflow->> Workflow parameter->> Disallow Approval by submitter = yes

Hi Amanda,

Next to the reply from Ramit, there is another option. On the workflow configuration itself there is a setting for 'Use final approver'. If this field is set and the approver is the same as the submitter, the person setup as final approver will get the approval task.
