Role Center - Adding Activity Group

I followed the instructcions for adding and activity group and receive the following error when processing the csv file in DB Update:

(S:\Applications\DB\common\sys\ARCActivity.csv) Could not find file 'S:\Applications\DB\common\sys\ARCActivity.IMP'.

Just for fun, I tried to run the actual RCActivity.csv file and it produced the same message regarding not finding the IMP.

The "Adding an Activity Group" documentation in help does not reference an IMP file

Any suggestions?

Steve

    Dear Steve,

    I'll need to set this up myself to see how it supposed to work in the system.

    Hi Steve,

    You are correct it doesn't mention the imp file that I can see. I've looked in appendex G in the SDK guide. But the dbupdate file seems to be looking for this file, in what every your directory is for the csv file.  I will look further into it.

    Steve,

    By the way, it should be RCActivity.csv (yours seems to have a leading "A")

    This is a standard .IMP (import) file; it's missing from the folder you reference and I could not find any references to this at all either. However, it's really easy to "decode":  I copied mine from the pvrec.imp file so the RCActivity.IMP file looks like this:

    Insert into rcactivity(ID,Description,Title,Links)

    values(@v1,@v2,@v3,@v4);

    These are just the field names of the table RCActivity in the SYS table. Second line is just the variable entry points (4 fields, so 4 variable points).

    If you do anything with RCCue you'll have to do the same thing.

    You could also enter the details directly into the SQL table.

    Pat
