Fixed Assets Accumulated Depr

HI, I will be entering all our assets into  Business Central soon.  Many are fully depreciated but still active assets.  I learned how to "Aquire" the assets to get them into the system but two things I have not figured out.

  1. How can I Acquire them without hitting the GL as I will enter the whole TB at one time in one entry when we switch over to 365.
  2. How can i get the asset so show fully depreciated in the system without hitting the GL, OR, if I have to hit the GL, can I just hit the same account twice (DB, CR) so it washes?

    First, for your Depreciation book turn off the Integrations to the GL

    Second, use the FA Journal (Not FA GL Journal) to post your acquisition costs and accumulated depreciation. Balance before you post to your historical data.

    Third, turn the Depreciation book Integration back on
