Hi
I'm creating new marketing pages, and I need to add a subscription centre to the page.
However I can only add the default, it won't let me add a new one.
Can anyone explain where I might be going wrong, link me to a tutorial which can explain where I might be going wrong?
Thanks
Lee
Hi there
I also would like to know how to add a subscription centre to an individual email.
For example, we have two business streams - A & B. A has been set up using the default sub centre and B will need the subscription form added to their (separate) website page and new content settings set up.
However, when creating content blocks with subscription links, I can only add this one {{msdyncrm_contentsettings.msdyncrm_addressmain}} - which relates to A. Where do I get the equivalent subscription centre URL for the other business for when they're creating one off emails? Understand you can add content settings in a customer journey, but not all comms are customer journeys.
Thanks
Gemma
OOB, when using Test sent in the quick create form you have the possibility to choose the Content Settings: Preview and test send an email message design (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs
however please note Subscription centers don't work with Test send.
Regards,
Thank you
What if I need to send a Marketing Email outside of a Customer Journey?
Thank you for the feedback Lee.
The Subscription center dynamic content that we are adding on the Mkt Email is connected to a Content settings record:
This means, on the email itself, you first need to create the connection with an unsubscribe link.
When adding the Email to a Customer Journey, you specify in CJ General Tab, the Content Settings you would like to use (that will include your new Subscription center page - this way the email extracts the Subscription center page you specified in the Content settings)
Now that all the settings are setup and the CJ is sent, the user receives the email and clicks on the Unsubscribe button - this should open the linked Subscription Center page.
I hope this makes sense
Thank you, but I have a problem with this
3. when creating an Email, make sure you have the Unsubscribe URL in your HTML
It only links to the default, how can i connect this to the unsubscribe link i have created for myself?
Hello Lee,
You can create several Subscription Center pages (make sure they are Live) and link them with different Content Settings in order to be used on different Customer Journeys.
1. create a new Subscription Center Page (other than the Default one): Set up a subscription center (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs
2. create a new Content Setting and add your new Subscription Page Set up a subscription center (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs
3. when creating an Email, make sure you have the Unsubscribe URL in your HTML
4. when creating a Customer Journey, choose the new Content settings created that are linked to your new Subscription Center page Set up a subscription center (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs
Content settings hold common values that you can place into an email message as dynamic text by using assist- edit. You can create as many content-settings records as you need, and you must assign one to each customer journey. Because of this architecture, you can use the same email message in several customer journeys, but the subscription center link (and other content settings) included in the message can be different for each journey.
*The links listed above are providing you with our public documentation for Dynamics 365 marketing. Feel free to review the user guide and best practices as well: User Guide (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs
I hope this helps
