I want to create an event in Dynamics 365 marketing. However, under 'Registration count' I see a lock showing "0". How can I remove this lock?

    Hi,

    1. Find the Event entity:

    2. Then select the form used when creating the Event:

    3. Click the Registration count field, and then uncheck the Read-Only check box on the right:

4.You can see that the value of Registration count can be changed:

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Hi,

It is not recommended to unlock this field and modify its value since it’s an OOTB field which is auto-filled with the number of registration records.

If you’d like to limit the number of registrations, it is recommended to refer to my answer in the following issue:

Thank you for your reply. So, I should not unlock this field and leave these values as they are? Because I have, for example, placed a Marketing Form on my website.  When I fill in this form through my website, I get an error message saying: "The event you're trying to register for isn't accepting new registrations". I believe it is related to the Registration count being "0"?

Thank you for your reply and solutions, but how can i access this section? I think only the administrator can enter this area.

    Hi,

The error message has nothing to do with the Registration count field.

It is related to the capacity of the event.

You can adjust the capacity referring to my first answer.

You can also set a waitlist for the event.

Here is the documentation about waitlist:

AH okay, I'm pretty new in creating events in Dynamics 365 Marketing. Apologies for that. I looked at the link in your first comment. So basically to avoid this error I always have to create a building in Dynamics to be able to change the capacity for the webinar event in the Layout section? Maybe a foolish question, but do I need to create a building for this in Dynamics? Because the webinar takes place online and not physically in a building for the location?

    Hi,

There is no need to set a location for webinar.

Would you please share the Website and form tab of the event if you cannot register for the webinar event without location?

Sure. The website I integrated the marketing form in is as follows:

    Hi,

Please find the marketing form you're using and switch to the Summary tab to find the error notification.

Check if the error message you got is the same as the message in the above screenshot.

If yes, it should be a custom message and this message will appear regardless of the error type that occurred during registration.
