Custom Business process flow lead

Question

We have a custom business process flow in our D365 Sales solution. It is a process for lead to opportunity BPF.

We have also the marketing app installed only in our production instance and the marketeers do not see the same custom business process flow. Also they could not change the process to the right one

I have synced all the BPF items within the marketing module.

Any suggestion for this? We want to see the same process on the lead form as in the D365 sales

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Not sure what you meant by "...synced all the BPF items..." Did you add the BPF to your model driven app? I think that's what you need to do.

    Hope that helps :O)

I ran into this issue once as well, we had to give the users security roles permissions to see the right business process flow.    For some reason, it did not happen out of box.  I submitted an idea to Microsoft to include them in the Marketing security roles out of box going forward.

    Hi,

Below are 2 important point to take care for a custom BPF to be visible for an user inside an app and below are those.

    1. Include the custom BPF in the required app (Marketing app). You can do this by editing the app and in app designer select "Business Process Flow" option and then select the BPFs that are required, then Save and Publish.

Reference article for editing an app.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/create-edit-app#edit-an-app (applies to online as well)

    2. Provide BPF privileges to the required users by modifying the security roles assigned to them. Below is the reference article.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/business-process-flows-overview#business-process-flow-privileges

Without these 2 in place, custom BPF wont be available to the users inside an app. If the point 1 is not taken care, even the System Administrator and System Customizer won't be able to see the custom BPF inside an app.

Please let me know if you have any further queries.

    Thanks,
    Neeraj Pawar
