CTI/TAPI Integration with Microsoft Navision

Need the expertise of the house on current challenge.

Help out, think have almost racked my brain on this issue

Ok, am trying to set up a CTI for a client who currently uses NAV 2013 R1 and a Matrix PBX system.

Here are steps have taking

Have installed the TAPI driver for the PBX, obtained from the vendor.

Configured based on the vendors manual guide(PBX IP address, CTI port all configured)

What beats me at first was, expectedly by default the phone Icon should get enabled, it didn’t till I edited the phone no. property of ExtendedDataType. That solved

I noticed it calls up my skype app automatically which doesn’t work for the client. We need to be able to call windows dialer client automatically. This didn’t happen until I amended the cal code on the Contact Card.

MY challenge currently is once the outgoing call is initiated for NAV and passes through windows dialer, the user line has to be selected thru Tools > Connect Using > Line: intermittently at almost every call. This defeats the whole aim of achieving a seamless CTI integration with NAV using TAPI

Can anybody help, Am hoping there should be a means of permanently setting each user line on windows dailer or possible passing the User ext line within the Tapi management class.

Help

Hi! You can consult Tenfold for CTI/TAPI Integration. Tenfold offers integrations with more than 150 phone systems and and CRMs. It offers features like click to dial and call pop ups and is really easy to set up. You can check out their integrations at www.tenfold.com/integrations

Hi Jonathan, the article was helpful, but I have solved that issue already as highlighted in the above message.

The icon is active, have moved past the challenge of configuring TAPI, for clarity,I can actually call out from within NAV thru the dialer and works which I stated above as well.

The challenge is each time we click to call, the customer rep needs to pick the ext number repeatedly for every call on the dialer.

Am hoping the ext number shld be fixed and shouldn't warrant changing back to default settings. Or maybe can be passed thru TAPI CLASS?

I be glad if you have an addition clue about this.
