Custom exception not throwing in CRM plugin for multiple delete

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello Everyone,

We created a delete event plugin on pre-delete of record of an entity and that is working fine. The logic is to throw custom exception with successful of such criteria. Even it is working fine for multiple delete but not showing custom exception as it is showing for single record.

Can anyone please help us to fix this issue.

RE: Custom exception not throwing in CRM plugin for multiple delete

    Hi ,

As far as I know you can not change this message as this error is coming from internal code of dynamics CRM . When you are deleting one item its basically executing the delete plugin directly but when you are doing multiple delete that means its getting executed in an internal process which raising generic error instead of going through each delete plugin error. For me this need to take care by Microsoft , but unfortunately there is no way to change this .
