Unified Interface - Advanced Find/Filtering Data

Hi guys

Forgive me here but just starting to work with the new Unified Interface and I'm curious if I'm missing something here...I don't seem to be able to see Advanced Find or any Filtering options on data. I'm guessing this is by design atm but I can't seem to find any info on this despite numerous searches.

Any guidance appreciated as always.

Steven

At this point it seems like Advanced Find is not available in the Unified Interface.

Hoping for something in the near future, but no there now.

You can only access it via the Enterprise Edition Web Forms.

The new unified interface apps (for example - Customer Service hub) does have search and filters.

On the top right you will see the magnifying glass icon and once you enter data to search on it will show the categorized search results. You can also filter the results by entity.

Also on views (for example - activities) you will see the search icon on the views and the filter for due date.

On Dashboard menu you have the global filter and visual filter options too.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanx Mihir

I’m aware of these search facilities in UUI but it was the Advanced Find/direct View filtering options I was looking for. So perhaps this may appear at some point (as I don’t think it’s available at present in UUI) but perhaps this is by design to simplify the interface even more.

Having the filter on each column of a View makes life so much easier from the amount of Views needed to get users what they want but guess we’ll just have to live with needing to flip to the web interface if we need to use this for now. Not ideal but at least there’s a workaround for it.

Hopefully it’s clarified at some point by MS though

    Hi Aric

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking here and flipping to the web client was the only way I could get the Advances Finds/filtering I wanted but can’t really be saying this to users...guess we’ll need to make sure the Views in Dashboards work correctly and we include the Global Filters now. This may well be the “way” MS are moving this feature but let’s hope we get the option at some point.

    Cheers

    Hi!

    I noticed this as well.
It's not a perfect solution but if you choose customize the entity to use editable grids and use this on your view you will have a filter option on most columns. Hope this helps a little.

Advanced Find is now available in our build of Microsoft Dynamics 9.0 in the Unified Interface (Customer Service Hub).  This seemed to be added under the radar about a month ago.  I know this is an older thread but it was still the top hit for this question.

This is a huge benefit and offers the same functionality as the advanced find from the previous Interface.

I also found out that the Advanced Find is available now.

Great - so user can also create their Personal Views.

Does someone know when Filters in read only Grids will be available?

    Thanks

    Walter

Nice one Sjag. Thanx for the heads up. I hadn't reviewed this clients Unified Interface for a while but that's a helping start to moving away from the Web Client for them. Still a few features we'd like to have available but guess we can't have everything at once lol
