How to create auto-number plugin dynamically?

Hi,

i plan to created one custom entity and create some fields like-prefix suffix,date. After created this i just write plugin code for these 3 fields data will auto populate at another entity "auto-number" field , which i created earlier.

you can use realtime workflows for this there is no need use plugin?

There are already several Auto Number solutions available free. If you want to write your own code, you could download the code and then update it a per your needs.

Hi,

if you wanted to implement autonumbering in your own plugin, you'll have to make sure you don't start generating duplicate numbers(especially during data imports).. this article explains how/what to do:

I think it's possible to do it using a workflow as well.. But that would require some testing.

But my requirement is to take dynamically

Like entity name[auto-number creation](field value-prefix,subfix,current date,number)

2-Create another entity "xyz" and field name "xyzid", this xyzid field value comes from "auto-number creation" entity fields.

output
