Metrics not working after office 2010 install

(0) ShareShare

Hello All,

After upgrading office 2010 from 2007 on Win7, metrics have stopped working on GP10 client.

On launching GP, it gives script error.

Anyone have same issue with metrics?

Thanks:

Depp

    Depp,

Did you do a full install of Office or just certain components?  It sounds like you are missing the Office web components.  I don't know if it comes built in with Office 2010 or not.  On my Windows 7 machines, there is not a separate program listed, however on my XP machines, there is a separate listing for the Office 2003 Web Components even though I am running Office 2010 everywhere.

Can you post the error you are getting?

Have you downloaded and applied the Office web components?

Is this happening on all clients?

You need to reinstall the old OWC2003. It uses some of the old components.

I had to install owc11.exe to get Metrics to work (Link is www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx)

    and owc2007sp1.... (link is www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx)

We are using Office 2007 so there may be a similiar download for Office 2010.

Just FYI - office 2010 does not use the web components for itself as far as I know, However, the KPI's in GP still utilise OWC. Regardless of the version of office you are using, you need to download and install OWC for Office 2003 or 2007 (if applying owc2003 does not resolve).

However, you will need to post the exact error message you are getting here. There are other issues with IE temporary files that could be the source of your issue.

    Ian.
