Hi,

Issue: I am unable to set the default view of the Activities to All activities[Entity level]

Product Version: I am using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 (5.0.9688.583)

Description:

I am trying to set the default view for the Activities Entity, so that all the users see the same view[All activities in my case]

The steps i take to perform the action is as follows:

I goto Settings --> Customization --> Customize the system -->Under Entities I select Activity --> Views -->

Check the checkbox to All Activities

Click the more button and select Set Default

Save and publish the changes. The list  now looks like the one below

However when I go back and click on Activities, it still displays My Activities view

Additional steps Taken to fix the issue

I have also tried recycling the CRMAppPool as was discussed at http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5fc7bcca-6660-419b-88fa-1e1f767adf9d/customization-is-getting-published-but-changes-are-not-reflecting-crm-2011?forum=crmdevelopment

Please suggest, what best can I do to fix this issue

Thanking you in anticipation

Nitin

    Hi Nitin,

Have you gone into the workplace, clicked on activities, selected the view tab from across the top and then with your "all activities" view selected, clicked the set as default view button at the top left of the screen?

    Hi MTKEENAN

Thanks for your assistance. I have tried the steps which you have suggested, however I believe this will just change the default view for my account and not for others.

My requirement is that whoever logs in, he should get to see the same All Activities view.

    Thanks Nitin

I believe a user specified default trumps a system default.  So what you're seeing is your own personal preference overriding your system default.  Test with a new user account.  You'd probably have to add script to your ribbon to circumvent the user-specified default view.
