Can't see all records....

Posted on by 2,645

I will do my best at explaining this...I have an account record and from this record I have many other entities that I can go to.  One of them is (for this example) Entity C.  When I go From the Account record to Entity B I only see 1 record in the Associated View when really I should be seeing a total of 3.  The record in Entity C is tied to the Account correctly, so I am not sure why 1 of 3 appears.  Now, if I go from the Account entity, to Entity B, then Entity C, I can see all 3 records.

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Issue was that in the Account entity it had the wrong relationship in the navigation.  Put the correct one in and all works.

So it appears that when I am on the Account entity, if I go to any other Entity I see the associated records in the associated view on that entity.  The only one that isn't showing correctly is this Entity C.  Is there something like a N:1 that I am missing or something?

    Hi USA,

any chance you could post some screenshots?

When I did a query selecting Entity B (and the field of account name), and tieing the Account entity in this query to pull in the account name as well (so they have the same name), I get results of 13 records.  When I do your second query, I get 13 records.  So the information coming back is the same, but when I go to Entity C, the associated view only shows 1.

Can you check if you associated view for Entity C has the correct query? Any of the records inactive?

You can run two queries in advanced find one with association between account and entity C, and one between entity B and entity C and see if you get the same results.

This should give you a starting point as to find out why you see a difference in the records that are being displayed.
