Iventory Item Maintain Item History

Hi

I think I've read somewhere that using Inventory Utility, Remove Transaction History will remove transactions from

IV30300 Inventory Transaction Amounts History and

IV00102 Item Quantity Master

I would like the history to be there for Sales Inventory/Discontinued Items, but is there any implications of not keep history (and removing history) for Service Items/Misc Charges?

They don't hold quantities or values so I'm not sure there's any benefit. I would like to be able to delete rather than just inactive some old ones.

I am assuming you can still report of these Service Items through a smartlist from Sales Line Items rather than Inventory should you need to?

Thanks

    Hi Tania,

It will actually remove the IV transactions from IV30200 (header) and IV30300 (detail).  IV00102 does not keep track of transactions.

Unfortunately, in the Remove Inventory Transaction History window, you can only make a selection of Item Number, Document Date, Document Type, Document Number and Site - there is no way to select a rang of Item Types.

You are correct, you can still see the item transaction via Smartlists for Sales Order Processing - provided all your transactions for these items are processed in the module.
