Import Tool for Guides - Failure Analysis

Hi All,

First time poster and beginner user of the Guides software. I was wondering if there was any way to trouble shoot the importing of .glb files into the Guides software. I've been attempting to import some larger .glb files created in Solidworks 2020 which I am able to view using the MS 3D Viewer Tool. However when attempting to bring them into Guides using the Import option I will receive the Import Failed error without any details. I have had success with smaller .glb files but would like to know what the limit to complexities of the import tool are.

My file sizes are large (2.2 gb) which I can try to reduce using the other forums recommendations but has any one else had any luck bring in large complex models to Guides? Let me know what other details I can provide. Hopefully someone else has been having some luck with this.

Great to hear that you are starting your Guides journey!

There is a 130 mb file limit for files that you can add to a guide (please make sure you've completed this setup step: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/mixed-reality/guides/setup-step-two#change-the-maximum-upload-file-size)
