Word Template for Historical Sales Invoices

Is it possible to use Word Templates for the Blank History Invoice Form using GP 2015 R2? All works fine for open sales invoices using the Blank Invoice From but when we try to print any historical sales invoices we get the message "A word template must be assigned before sending this document".

Can I clarify - are you talking Sales Order Processing Invoices or the Invoicing module?

Yes, they can be sued. In Template Maintenance do you have a default template assigned to the company?

These are SOP invoices and they are assigned to be used within the company in question.
