Split work lines on the RF scanner

Hi all

I have this issue, where I need your help:

This seems really cumbersome, so I could use some feedback from you on the process.

Problem: Worker must be able to override the defaulted location and pick a location, where there are less than the pick amount.

Example:
The work is defaulted to Location TR10 and picking 50 pcs (Location TR10 has a qty on hand of 840)
Worker is located on the other side of the warehouse close to a location TR13 with 10 on the same item

He wants to be able to pick them first and then pick the remaining on another location.

I tested and found out that the override location does not allow to select a location with less qty of than the 50.

but if Allow split is activated on the mobile device menu item setup then the combination of the two will allow it.

The process, however is extremely cumbersome – Can you please take a look and let me know what I am missing?

1. Enter work id
2. Select Override location
a. OK on reason
b. Click Full
c. Enter QTY that is available on location (10)
d. Click OK
3. That will give a screen as per below, with the quantity changed
a. With the combination of override and full – a new work is created, meaning work is created

4. By clicking override loc now, it iw possible to select the TR13 location as it now has enough qty to reserve.

5. Click OK and the 10 qty has been picked and can be goes on to the put
6. The work is now completed (the new that is created)
7. To finish up the remaining, enter the original work id again.

After it is done, The works will look like below (two different work ids because of the allow split) but with the same creation ID:

In my research, I came across one site from Blue HorseShoe, where a line could be split as opposed to the entire work – But I don’t think that is part of the standard

Please assist with any input you may have, whether the process could be done otherwise. or if there is any split line functionality available?
