Management Reporter - How to export to excel in "normal view" rather than Page Layout

When exporting a large MR report to excel, it automatically formats to Page Layout and we have to change it to Normal View. This is cumbersome when you have several tabs of reports. Does anyone know how to change this setting so they come out in Excel in "Normal view"?

Hello,

There currently is not a way to change this setting in Management Reporter. There is a similar suggestion on our Connect site that you may want to tag those details on, or log a new suggestion for this idea.

Otherwise, I tested that in Excel you can right click on a tab and select all sheets and then change to normal view there pretty quickly.

Hi Ryan,

Your response to the question above about how MR reports export to Excel was posted in January 2012. Have there been any changes to how MR reports export to Excel since then? Do MR reports still export to Excel in Page Layout View instead of Normal View?

Also, why when MR reports generate with underscores are those underscores not exported to Excel even when the ‘Export underscore rows’ checkbox is marked in the Export to Microsoft Excel window?

It still defaults to Page Layout view and you need to change manually in Excel.
