Business Central and Teams integration

with Teams and Business Central integration getting tighter with each release I am curious if the following scenario can be accomplished with Teams/Business Central:

the company is using Teams as their phone system and D365 Business Central as their ERP
the company would like to identify a D365 Business Central customer from an incoming Teams call and have the associated BC customer record to be identified and opened in Teams to access account info, previous interactions , etc.
The company is NOT using D365 CRM just Business Central and Teams along with other O365 elements.

is this scenario possible?

There is no out of the box functionality that does what you are asking for. But with a customization i am pretty sure it can be done.

I know it have been done with traditional phone systems based on caller ID.

Basically you use the ID to create an URL that opens the Business Central page you want to open.

But i know too little about Teams to know what it requires on the Teams side.
