Manipulating views customized from View Designer

Posted on by 355

Hi,

I'm using View Designer (XrmToolBox Plugin) to customize my views, but I've noticed that it's more difficult to manipulate them after the customization.

For example, the system views customized as above are not selectable within the Advanced Find, I can't deactivate or remove them from my solution, and I can't change the filter criteria.

It is ok to customize my views through View Designer if my only goal is to make them show within the Model Driven App, but what if I want manipulating them from CRM (e.g., change the filter criteria or just remove them from my solution)?

Is there a workaround to overcome the issue?

    Hi Joel,

I have customized the system view-Inactive Accounts in View Designer (XrmToolBox Plugin), like following screenshot(add one column):

But i can select it in the Advanced Find:

and can filter or deactive it:
