Hi All,

I ran the newly developed SSRS report in Visual Studio 2015 successfully. When I tried to move the report file to SL 2015 and run (with the required setup), I got an error saying “ROISRS.exe has stopped working”.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: ROISRS.EXE
Problem Signature 02: 9.1.30423.1
Problem Signature 03: 55390365
Problem Signature 04: Microsoft.ReportViewer.Common
Problem Signature 05: 12.0.2000.8
Problem Signature 06: 5306c7a1
Problem Signature 07: c4ab
Problem Signature 08: 36
Problem Signature 09: D22JTUDW4TKFQYK5MNCZRCKP1ODRCKYL
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.272.7
Locale ID: 1033

FYI.. Existing SSRS report working without any issue.

Does anyone knows how to resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Ajit Kannan S R

    Ajit,

Thank you for posting this issue. It is not clear if your site has any of the updates for SL 2015, but I can confirm that SL 2015 general release did have issues with SSRS reports. It was found where there were .dll version issues along with one where the site was missing Microsoft.reportview.winforms version 10.0 (workaround for the reportviewer was to install from here: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx)

The other issues were fixed and rolled into the CU updates. If you are on CU2 all of the fixes should be rolled into the updates.

One thing that remains an issue and will cause the ROISRS to stop working message is if the report has sub reports. Does your custom report have a sub report?

    I hope this helps

    Thank you,

    Carolyn

    Hi Carolyn,

    Thanks for the details.

The Microsoft.reportview.winforms.dll is already installed. I just add the dll in the assembly and change the Target server version from “detected version” To “Server 2008 R2, 2012 or 2014” under project properties now the issue is resolved.

    Thanks,
