Enter tax amount on a purchase invoice (not percentage)

For a non-profit, we have the need to track purchase tax amounts so that we can get refunded by the state. We need to track it on a "per line" basis, and it would be great to enter in the tax amount where the tax codes may not be the correct percentage without a lot of work. Is there a way to just enter the tax amount?

There is no way, you would need to do the tax setups, let the system calculate the tax and accrue the use tax.

This is a valid requirement and most ERP systems allow rounding differences on the purchase side as we are matching two different ERP systems
