I have finally managed to set up CRM v9 On premises with help from this forum.  Before I start loading data to the system, I want to set up the emails

Current Set up

VM1 Widows 2016 Server hosting CRM v9 ( not on port 443 )

VM2 Window 2016 Server  hosting SQL2016

VM3 Windows 2016 Server hosting ADFS

I can log into the CRM on https, both inside our network and outside of our network

I'm looking for a solid easy to follow tutorial to set up emails from CRM using our Office 365 account

Can anyone help with this as I need to be able to send emails from CRM.  Being all Microsoft, I would have thought it should be simple, but alas not

I have ben trying to follow this link

    us.hitachi-solutions.com/.../setup-dynamics-365-server-side-synchronization-premise-exchange-online

I am using network service as account for the CRM App pool

On the machine running CRM , I have exported the certificate with the private key and without the private key ( base 64 ) . both certificates are in the C:\certificates directory

    PS C:\Program Files\Dynamics 365\Tools> .\ConfigureCrmServerSideSync.ps1

cmdlet ConfigureCrmServerSideSync.ps1 at command pipeline position 1

Supply values for the following parameters:

    (Type !? for Help.)

    rootDomainName: VMCAS01.xxx.xx.xx

    privateKeyPassword: xxxxxxx

    cerFilePath: C:\Certificates

    pfxFilePath: C:\Certificates

    organizationName:xxx

    o365AdminEmail: xxx@.xxx.xx.xx

    GAC    Version        Location

    ---    -------        --------

    True   v4.0.30319     C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Windows.Forms\v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089\System.Window...

The specified value of the cerFilePath parameter isn't valid. Please enter the correct path of the Security certificate file.

    Process Failed.

I have tried this several times, re-exporting the certificate , tried it with the certificate I imported for the ADFS server as well . tried putting the certificates on root of C and still get the same error.

I have logged onto this machine as Domain Admin and run the powershell as an Administrator

any clues as to where I am going wrong, or is there a log that may shed some light ?
