RE: How can setup Workflow setup in dynamics GP 18.4

Web Services for Dynamics GP is not required for use, when using the Workflow functionality in Dynamics GP. Web Services only gives us the option if you want approvers to be able to be able to approve the workflows via the email notifications sent to approvers letting them know that a workflow is assigned to them pending action.

I would first verify your Web Services is working correctly, using the steps mentioned in this document:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../verify-if-web-service-is-correct

In the Workflow Setup window, under 'Enable E-Mail Actions', make sure you're putting in the name of the server that Web Services is physically installed onto, and port 48620 is the correct default as is the option for SSL to be un-marked.

The native endpoint URL for Web Services, i.e. WebServicesServerName:48620/.../GPService, is what the Approve, Reject and Delegate links, in the Workflow approver email notifications will be using, so Web Services needs to be setup and working correctly.

You also need Web Services installed onto the GP company databases that you're using Workflow in, and wanting approvers to approve workflows via the emails.

I will say we do not see the best results when using multi-domain environments with Workflow functionality and/or when the AD users being used with Workflow are on one domain while Dynamics GP, Web Services and/or SQL Server are on a second, different domain.

As far as the error you mentioned above, I believe that is more your Web Services is not setup and working correctly, as that is really the only thing that check is doing, and it is really only doing a very basic check and isn't the 'end all' verifying Web Services is actually installed and working successfully.

    Thanks
