Users can't see the confirmed receipt date in the purchases order line

Hi,

I have an issue where most of my users can't see a the "Confirmed receipt date" in the purchase order lines. I have tried to see if it was related to the personalization and it's not. It is related to the security and authorisation.

A user with the super authorization can see it and my user with custom authorization for the purchasing department can't see it.

I've tried creating a new authorization set and using the recording function, open a purchase order, go to the purchase line and insert a date in this field, than modify it and delete it.

Even after doing this and adding this authorization set to my users, it's still doesn't appear to them.

Is there a specific authorization that I could add to this authorization set to make it appears. Once again, it clearly is an authorization problems since a super user in the same profile can see it.

Thanks,
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Valentin,

They are indeed in different profile but the field is available and shown in all those profiles. I have confirmed it is related to an authorization but a different one than just purchase order line.

I tested with the base authorization set for purchasing and the field appeared. There really seems to be a very specific authorization that allows the user to see or not this field. What bugs me is that even while recording an authorization set and inserting, modifying and deleting this field and then adding it to the users, it's still lacking the specific authorization to display this field.

You mentioned its not related to personalization, but are the users using different profiles? Is it possible this field is simply not added to the profile of the users that don't see it? Can they add it by personalizing or do they see it if you customize their profile to add the field for them? Or is this something you already tried?

    Hi,

It is my mistake indeed, I did a direct translation from french to english but you are right. It is actually the Promised receipt date.

The purchase order line includes the following dates:

    • Expected Receipt Date
    • Requested Receipt Date
    • Promised Receipt Date
    • Planned Receipt Date

However, there is no Confirmed Receipt Date in the default setup. If you see a field labeled "Confirmed Receipt Date," it's likely either a custom field added through development or modified field with a caption change to suit specific business needs.

I think you need to confirm whether this is a custom field, as other users have mentioned, or if it’s a standard field.

    Hi Philippe,

Is " Confirmed receipt date" on Purchase Line are customized field ? Or  are you referring to Expected Receipt Date/Requested/Planned/Promised dated ?

I was bit surprised  whether there is any such  field is introduced by Microsoft recently or what  and i may missed out to notice that!

After your post, i have checked and found there is no "Confirmed receipt date " available in business central as of now.

Hi, There is indeed no such field in the standard. Is this a custom field? If so, check if the extension has been uninstalled.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

There is no confirmed receipt date on Purchase Line, are you referring to Expected Receipt Date/Requested/Planned/Promised, some of these fields are visible to the user only when the user has permissions to read Posted Purchase Receipts which  Purchase Receipt Header Table 120, or Order Promising Line Table 99000880,

    Thanks

    Hi SaiRT14,

When I meant custom authorisation its that I made custom authorisation set inside of BC and not in AL. Those sets were made using the recording function and then manually edited if needed.

    Those users have :

    - Every access on the Purchase Line (read, insert, edit, delete)
    - I already recorded all the operations in the field using the "Permission Recordings"

I tested to add the D365 FIN. & PURCH. group and the field appears.
Comparing table by table both set would take forever and I'm really curious if there is a specific authorization that someone knows that you need in addition to purchase order line for it to appear

    Here are the steps:
    • Check Table Permissions: Ensure the custom authorization set includes read/modify permissions for the relevant tables, particularly Purchase Line.

    • Use Permission Recording and Adjustments: Perform actions in the "Confirmed Receipt Date" field and ensure permissions for related tables are set to "Read" or higher.

    • Verify Field-Level Security: Check for specific field-level security settings on the "Confirmed Receipt Date."

    • Add Default Purchasing Permission Sets: Add permission sets like D365 PURCHASE - EDIT PURCHASE ORDER LINES to the custom authorization.

    • Test with Default Roles: Assign a default purchasing role temporarily to confirm if missing permissions are the cause.
