Splitting shipments and transfer lines/licence plate to different load

Hello

If anybody faces a problem that after finishing picking we don't have enough space to load the truck (for example, the carrier sends a smaller load template or for any other reason we cannot load all pallets)? I know there is a function to move shipment to different load. In standard, I must "reduce picked quantity" and later added a new line to the existing load and release one again load. In my case, we have many products on one licence plate and after that, we have a lot of extra work. I was thinking about customisation to use a a format like "reduce picked quantity" where we can see all license plates to choose which licence pallet we are moving to a different load + after that system will split the shipment. Maybe somebody makes customisation for that in the system or in the warehouse mobile app?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi dyncon,

You refer to moving shipment to a different load but there is another functionality in standard D365 that closely ressembles what your end-goal is .  Have you looked at the "Confirm and Transfer" functionality?   Here is the documentation.

    Hi Danny,

Thanks for your reply. I was testing this function, but in my case, it is not enough good. My client can already have load status loaded, all pallets are in final shipping location and work can be complete. In this situation, I can't split shipment.

Why is the load in a loaded status if its not physically loaded?  It sounds like there is a process problem preventing you from using the confirm  & transfer functionality, which is designed for the scenario you describe.
