Setting Profile/ForceSignUp site setting to True locks the user to profile page?

Hey all,

Have a bit of a problem. Did some looking around the forums and I want to force new users to go through the profile page to update all their details etc. before they are able to access the components of the system. I've made a custom profile template and changed my profile page to use that, and that all works fine.
However when I changed the site setting "Profile/ForceSignUp" to True it seems to lock you on the profile page. Not sure if this is because I've done a custom template / form on the profile entity, however I press submit on the form and it doesn't allow me to access any other contents on the portal.
Any help on this would be appreciated :)

Kind Regards
Josh

    Hi Joshua,

Are you using Adxstudio 7.x or Dynamics 365 Portals? Is the custom template Page Template or Web Template?

You could try using the OOTB Profile Template and see if it works before using the custom template.

    https://community.adxstudio.com/products/adxstudio-portals/documentation/end-users-guide/content-management/settings-templates/site-settings/site-settings/

Also, the PortalMasterPage.cs and Profile.aspx.cs includes logic to check this setting (which is stored in ForceRegistration) and validate if profile successfully saved and shows a missing field error.

    Cheers,

    Nadeeja

    Hello,

for all who have the same problem.

Just add an entityformmetadata for the attribute "adx_profilemodifiedon" and check the "setvalueonsave" checkbox and "current date" as value.
