ReportWith Dynamics 365 Portal (Sales portal), there is a SharePoint Online content connector. However, you have to permissions/share SPO content with the Dynamics users. If the Dynamics users are external users (which are stored as CRM contacts instead of AAD users) how can I permission these users to the SPO content?
I am very familiar with SharePoint/Office 365 Identity Management (IdM) solutions and I don't think SPO can use a non-AAD object when granting permissions. Since the Dynamics Portal external users are CRM contacts, these arent a real identity SPO can grant access to.
Note: SPO external sharing invites are a whole separate process, where the person receiving the invite has to sign in using an AAD Organizational or MS Personal account. So I don't think there is a solution to grant CRM contacts permissions to SPO content.
