MFG BoM Tree View Problem with Imports

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm on 2010.  I imported the BoMs.  When I look at the impported BoM, it is not showing the  expand + sign for the 2nd level. If I create one, it does work properly. Any ideas?

Re: MFG BoM Tree View Problem with Imports

I've had this problem before. I think my issue was with the BOMTYPE_I column in the BM010115 table. It has to be a value of '1'.

You should also be certain to verify SUBCAT_I column, If the child part (CPN_I) is a make item this should be set to '1' and if not it needs to be '0'.

This is how the treeview knows whether to present a '+' sign......

Good luck - let me know if this helps.........table imports are tricky.........
