Multiple 'regarding' on Activities

From what i can see 'Regarding' is how you link an activity to a contact or company etc.

However i cant see how you add more than one contact or company to an activity.  Obviously a lot of activities will relate to multiple contacts.

    Hi Ben,

You can't create an activity regarding multiple records, but you can easily create an activity for each account. Create a new On Demand workflow that runs on account. The workflow will create the activity with whatever details you want. Now you need to get a list of the accounts, either in a view or through the advanced find. Select the accounts you want (or all) and then you can run that workflow for all of them at once. This will give you a task for each account.

Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as Answering your question.

    Thanks,

    Aiden

Thanks, this seems to be a bit of a large oversight!

What if you are going to a meeting with 5 other attendees from different companies.  You have to create an activity on each separate persons record?

    Hi Ben,

In that case, I would create a single activity and use the To or CC fields to select multiple contacts and accounts, and the regarding field would be whatever you're meeting about (if applicable).

    Thanks,

     Aiden

If you are going to a meeting, create an Appointment and add all the meeting attendees, just as you would in Outlook.

You can add multiple records (Contacts, Leads, Accounts) as participants on various activities OOB, including Appointments and Phone Calls. Other activities do have the multi-party fields but these are not on the forms and are not typically used (eg Tasks are not usually linked to any other parties)

I just want to ask if Microsoft changed the logic here and multiple records can be selected for 'regarding'?
