Dear All,

We have a requirement in Dynamics 2012 R3, is that we want to manage the inventory of our Vendor in our Retail store and will not pay to vendor until it will be sold out, so is there any possibility to work on it???

if it is not so how it can be done in Ax 2012 R3???

    Dear Pranav,

    Thanks for providing the suggestion.

    What do you mean by the Store Premises is it our ware house if not so there could be a big disadvantage of that because there no tracking of items chances of missing items.

    I need a proper tracking of items through no financial transaction.

    Its not suitable for our requirement.

    Hi SFA,

    In standard AX 2012 R3 it is not possible but I have work around of it.

    We can sell items in retail store even you do have system inventory in store specific warehouse. We can use this functionality to achieve your requirement. Put the vendor stock in store premises and create all the products in AX and add to the store specific assortments to sell on POS.

    Now any customer buy these items on retail POS than it will go negative stock while posting retail statement than you can pull negative stock report or verify OH of items and raise a purchase order to vendor for specific items or quantity and invoice the PO to pay vendors only for sold quantity.

    If you refer to consignment stock then this is available for D365FO.

    For AX2012 you would have to build such a functionality yourself or make use of the available ISV solutions that are available in the market.
