Is Microsoft Office 2010 Really needed to upgrade

We want to upgrade from SL 6.5 to SL 2011. We use GL, AP, AR and CM modules.  Is it really neccessary to upgrade the Office Suite to 2010?  The CFO does not want to spend the $ on that.

Richard, Office 2010 is required if you plan to use Doc Share, Attachment or Business Portal features.  If you are only using Office to import/export to XL files, Office 2007 will work.

    Richard,

Additionally, in SL 2011, if you use SL's Application Server module, app server will not run with Outlook 2007.

Thanks for the heads up.  I have a client that is not ready to move to Office 2010.  They now know the risks.

    Thanks
