PDF preview experience - interactive operations

Hi everyone,

I am looking for additional information about the feature "Preview PDF documents using PDF viewer".

I read that "expandable/collapsible sections are available by default. These interactive operations do not function after the PDF document has been created".

Do you know if it is possible to modify the preview by expanding or reducing some sections (columns of the report)? That would be very useful for us.

Thank you

Best regards

Camilla

    Hi Ramit,

I just wondered if you might know that other PDF viewer improvements will be included. I did not find much on this subject in the official documentation.

    Thank you

    Regards

    Hello Vinit,

We can export like it was earlier.

You need to enable " Enable export on PDF reviewer" feature.

    Regards,

    Ramit

    Hi,

A PDF viewer delivers a closed document that exactly matches the printed output of the document. So you don't get interactions that were possible in HTML viewer.  Another drawback of this is you cant export reports in Excel, Word, or any other format which were supported by HTML viewer.  Even though it is great to see the exact print copy instead of printing and then checking, the missing export options were down point for many clients.

    Hello Camilla,

IN this new PDF embedded feature, there are loads of limitations like below.

1: The report drill down optiono not possible, means link can not be clicked from the report if this is enabled.

2: Some of the report cant be exported into excel, pdf, etc. fixed in 10.0.15 version

3: Some report layout is not okay.

So, we many customer decided to wait till 10.0.15.

That's how I can help here.

    Regards,

    Ramit
