Transfer Order release status

Posted on by 15
We are trying to identify a way to see which Transfer Orders have not been released to warehouse. We are using the automatic release to warehouse functionality as a batch job and need a way to identify any orders that have not released and created a shipment so these can be investigated.

We do something similar with Sales Orders and can easily spot this with the release status on the header as these will show as either Open or Partially Released but cant identify an easy way to do the same with Transfer Orders as they do not have this status.

What Shaun is describing is when you release to warehouse and the work is created, the Transfer Order status remains as Created, it's only until it's 100% fulfilled and picked and after the shipment confirmation does it change to Shipped. There is also a bug / limitation with this as say one of your items failed a reservation, then work is still created for the good items, they can then be picked and shipped. The status remains as Created, and only when the offending item(s) are deleted or amended does the status change to Shipped. Such a weak design IMO by MS.

I have raised an idea with MS about this as there is no easy way to see when Transfer Orders have been released to warehouse.

The only way it to look at the Open work and see what work has been created but that gives limited information as well.

As I found out there is no way to do the above without MS carrying out a development as a feature release, which I hope they do.

    Transfer Order release status
    Hi,
A common status for unprocessed transfer orders is usually Created. After the shipment is posted, the status on the transfer order changes to "shipped", and the status becomes "received" after the inventory is received into the warehouse. As Mohamed said you can use filters to view based on transfer order status.
    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi @

This column does not respond to your question ?
Here you can filter with Transfer status = created

    Hope that's helpful !
