JS Error on campaign activity form with custom webresource

Hi,

I have a custom webresource that it's used in other custom activity entities forms without problems, but when I add it to the campaign activity form, na error is thrown with the following description:

I checked the file where the error occurs, and the file hasn't been modified and the webresource is a HTML page that doesn't invoke any methods of the textarea.htc file.

The error doesn't affect the overall functionality of the webresource or the entity form, but I'd like to deploy the solution without this error.

    Hi Sergio,

    I suggest you use the IE Developer Tool to throubleshoot this issue (available from F12 key).

    Try to use the section Script and approach of breakpoints, then reproduces the issue and investigates deep in further the issue.

    Moreover, it's possible to use the section Profile and notices a big Picture about the functions and calls related them.

    Hi Gustavo,

    first of all thanks for the reply.

    I have done that kind of troubleshoot, but the conclusions were not "conclusive". The function of the textarea.htc file that is called (Init()), is invoked by an anonymous function, so that is a dead end.

    I believe the error occurs because the web resource has a textarea of its own and there is some JS in the campaign activity form (and not in the other activities), that reacts to every textarea, but since I can't find what function is calling the Init function I can't ensure it.

    I'll try to change the controls in the web resource to see  if it resolves the problema.

    You have right I have the same with textarea.

    To fix this you can add IsNull(o) function to your webresource:

    IsNull(o) {return "undefined" == typeof o || "unknown" == typeof o || null == o}

    or add a reference to global.ashx:

    <SCRIPT type=text/javascript src="/_common/global.ashx"></SCRIPT>

    I like this error: IsNull is null or undefined
