Great Plains Dynamics 2015

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We have a basic SQL express install. We want to be able to copy one company set-up to another. By this I mean charts of accounts, check books, AP vendors, Even financial reports if possible. Is there a straight forward way to do this if we do not have SQL expertise?

The KB linked by Richard will copy all transactional data as well; useful for creating a test company, but not for creating a new company with the same setup, but no transactions.

You could look at the Company Copy function in the PSTL (Professional Services Tools Library) module which can be used to copy settings from one company to another.

This does not require any contact with SQL.
