Problem with changing rich text field on a Timeline with .json config file.

Hi everyone!

I am trying to change the Rich Text Field with a .json config file as specified here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/rich-text-editor-control#example-configuration-file.
It all works great on a regular RTF in my test app but when i try to implement the same functionality on the Timeline RTF for notes nothing happends. It should work as specified in this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/set-up-timeline-control .
But when i try to change even basic things the timeline RTF does not seem to react at all.
What i am trying to do is forbid the upload of files in the notes section of a specific timeline and i havent found a specific config parameter that works for that either.

Would be thankful for any help/suggestions.

Thanks!

Ale

The Timeline’s Rich Text Editor for notes currently does not support JSON config customization like regular RTF fields. That’s why your changes aren’t applying.
Unfortunately, file upload can’t be disabled via config on the timeline notes control yet.
    Workarounds:
    • Use Power Automate or plugins to monitor and remove unwanted attachments after upload.
    • Provide user training or custom UI to limit file uploads.
Microsoft may add more config options in the future, so keep an eye on updates.

Difficulty Updating a Rich Text Field on the Timeline Using a .json Configuration File in Dynamics 365 CRM?
In Dynamics 365 CRM, when trying to customize the Timeline control by modifying a rich text field through a .json configuration file, you may experience issues where the changes are not reflected or the rich text content does not render properly. This is often due to how the Timeline control processes rich text formatting within the JSON or due to syntax errors in the configuration file
