I am trying to setup Business Portal with an existing installation of Dynamics GP Company. Many of the pages in Business Portal are working fine. But on some pages; I get "An error occurred while retrieving data from Microsoft Dynamics GP. Administrators, see the server log for more information" message. The Windows Event Logs say "Could not execute WebMethod GetSalesReturnList on WebService at http://gpserver/DynamicsGPWebServices/DynamicsGPService.asmx in App Domain '/LM/W3SVC/..' The full exception text is: Insufficient authorization to perform this action..The inner exception text is: ."

The Dynamics Web Services Exceptions Console reports "No mappings were found for the user or the user was not authorized to see the particular instance requested".

My site' pool identity is DOMAIN\sharepointuser and I am logged on to the site with identity DOMAIN\myuser. I have made both these logins BDC Administrator and Super User (Dynamics Security). What am I missing?

This was extremely helpful. Thanks very much for posting how you figured it out. It was the IIS Pool Identity for me.

I have figured it out. I had to add “Work on Behalf Of” Operation to the role being given to site's IIS Pool Identity, and had to map entities through Dynamics Security Console manually. I guess the entities should map automatically when we configure/add the user in Business Portal (Site Settings > Business Portal User Management)

WSInstallAdminGuide.pdf from GP9 had the tip. This pdf is missing in GP10 cd?
