D365 Customer Insights data capacity

Hello! 

We have a customer with 100.000 customers/profiles, 1 billion transactions and 100GB of data.

Regarding the D365 Customer Insights license, I checked that the default capacity is 100K profiles. 

What about data? Does this license "D365 Customer Insights"  cover their needs for 1 billion transactions and 100GB of data?

    If customer only purchase D365 Customer Insights with 100.000 profiles, how do we calculate the CDS capacity?

    Hi Chrysa,

    It's a good question you pose.

    As far as I am aware, the limitation of 100-k records is for unified profiles only and not all ingested data. So you could have more than .100-k records which are unified into 100-k records.

    If there is a requirement for additional unified profiles, these can be purchased as an add-on in sets of 100-k. Check the Dynamics licensing guide for the cost of this. Last I saw, its $1000/month for every additional 100-k profiles.

    From a data storage perspective, I'm not sure what the limitations are regarding OOB data capacity for CI. But CI makes use of ADLSGen2 which is capable of handling exabytes of data.
