I want to control my journal transaction date. Today is 6/6/2018, Period is open for the month of June 2018, now i want to restrict my journal transaction date for the date of 6/7/2018, because it's next day, how is it possible?

Example. I open a journal & the journal posting date will be 5/30/2018 but by mistake i give the journal date 6/30/18 , then post the journal. now it's shows journal is posting in 6/30/18. How is it possible to protect future posting date?

N B: Today is 6/6/2018.

    Hello Milton,

You can prevent people from posting into future periods by only opening the current period(s) in which postings are allowed.

If you do not want that people post into June already then put June on-hold.

    Note:

You can restrict posting only for the complete period - for example June. You cannot put a restriction on a specific day or days and e.g. prevent people to post on 15 June because that day lies in the future. The only way to achieve such a daily posting control would be using daily posting periods, which does not make sense to me, or making a system modification.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

You can only prevent people from posting into future PERIODS, but within a particular period there is no feature to prevent posting into a future date.

    Hi Milton ,

From your requirement it looks its a customization  I did not used daily posting period as suggested by Ludwig so I cant comment on that  but if you want to do it with customization then you have to restrict it as soon as line is created in journal and if somebody changed the date to future date(Looks like a simple modification). Along with  this validation you might have to look at any custom line import functions in your system to restrict over there.
