Regarding Warehouse worker Role.

Hi all,

I believe Warehouse worker will do duties such as

1. Picking of items (eg: Sales order picking).

2. Registration of items (eg: Item registration in purchase order).

I didn't find exact operations  where we could  find in the system with above role.

I find some of the menu items SalesPickup under Inventory. Didn't find use of item picking registration.

I'm seeking your help to explore more on it.

Kindly guide me, if we can do the such operations withoout customizing the role?

    Hi Krishna,

    The warehouse worker should be able to do the "Picking list registration" from Inventory > Periodic. Also he can use the Arrival overview for inbound registrations.

    I assume you are not using the new warehouse management and mobile device?

    Hi Krishna,

    What version of AX you are using?

    For purchase item receiving I would use Procurement and Sourcing - All purchase orders and from top action pane select Receive - Product Receipt.

    For picking items - Warehouse management - Emulator or All work - Complete Work form. Depends on your settings and role assigned.

    Thank you Andre & Viesturs.

    I'm not familiar about new warehouse management and mobile device & configuration.

    I'll check the impact of enabling this configuration & update here.

    Requesting you to  please point me in right direction to get this functionality (configuration setting or any setup)

    Krishna,

    Check Warehouse Management -  Setup - Mobile device settings (Menu,Menu items) as well as Warehouse Management - Setup - Work Users - Worker to enable/add users as workers for them to be able to use emulator.

    Current system: AX 2012 R3, CU11
    Under System -> license configuration, Didn't find Warehouse Management.
    I found Warehouse management II, which already enabled.

    Let's go back to the initial question: The forms for the warehouse worker to provide feedback about picked quantities and perform product receipt should be visible under this role.

    About Warehouse management and the license configuration: You should have enabled or WMS II or the new Warehouse management. The Warehouse and transportation management key can be found under "Trade".

    The warehouse worker should be able to perform tasks related to both options.

    It was already enables Warehouse and transportation management & WMS II.

    After adding lines(Items) to Sales order, expecting these lines should appear on

    Inventory -> Picking list registration .

    I didn't find the lines.

    I didn't figure out the issue.

    1. For Sales order picking, I found

       Inventory -> Periodic -> Release sales order picking

    2. For PO registration, I couldn't figure out.

      There are some menu items with name registration, it showing empty records though we have items need to register in PO.

    Kindly point me where could I  find the functionality registration?

    Hi Andre,

    Could you please point out "Arrival overview for inbound registrations". 

    Arrival overview  didn't find in CU11, may there in previous cumulative updates.

    I may use this for Item registration (available in Purchase order).

    Arrival overview is enabled for only Warehouse manager role, not for Warehouse worker. You need to use pallet transportation functionality for Arrival overview.

    We are not using pallet transportation functionality.

    It seems, we couldn't register items from purchase order using Standard role Warehouse worker. Need to do customize.
