Hi,

i wanted to know if it is possible to pull reports from navision through excel vba. With Excel vba and SAP this is possible, I have also found many instructions on the Internet, but I find nothing to Excle and navision, so my question is whether this is generally possible and whether someone can recommend me suitable literature where this is explained.

    Hi, yes, it is possible, you need to publish the data to the Web Service in NAV, then get it in Excel via VB, use Power Query to organize the data, and finally display it as a report.

    I'm not an expert in Excel, I've seen an example before, but it seems very complicated and not very efficient, and I personally don't recommend it very much. (Sorry I can't give you the full file.)

    I still recommend using RDLC to create reports.

    All the excel API and such all the microsoft dll are avalaible in NAV, even you can add you own addins. Maybe the easiest way it's use excel buffer, you should be able to find examples about how it works easily.
