GL impact of a purchase posted receipt?

Is there any gl impact in posting a purchase receipt? When I preview posting, or review a posted receipt I don't see a GL entry. Within GP, there was always the debit to inventory and the credit to accrued purchases. Is there something I am missing within BC?

If Inventory Setup has Expected Cost turned on AND your purchase receipts are for inventory items, then you do get an accrual for received not invoiced.

If you are not using items AND if your receipts are for general ledger lines or other types, there is no accounting entry. You can use the AP to GL Reconcile Report at month-end to create a reversing accrual entry. This report is a 'point in time' report and cannot be run on the 3rd of the month for what is was on the 31st.
