Notes - Sort Order on Account Form

Hi all. I'm trying to figure out where I can tweak the sort order of my notes in the social pane of my Account form. I went to all of the Notes-->Forms in customizations, and all seemed to be set by "Title". This is fine, except that order does not appear to be the case when they render on my Account form. I verify this by doing the exact same thing in Advanced Find. In Advanced Find the order comes out correct...not the case on my Account form.

Can anyone shed some light on this behavior?  As of now they appear to be displaying based on "Created On" date, descending.

    Patrick,

    Unfortunately that is not possible.

    In fact, Notes in social pane are arranged or sorted by Modified on descending.

    The only way, ask them to see the notes from view.

    Hi Aileen, thank you for the reply. I do not agree though that they are sorted by Modified On. I am almost positive they are sorted by Created On. I figured out how to override this field (Created On) and now everything is showing up correctly. I went back and tested modifying notes and they do not change order, so I'm quite confident they are sorted by Created On.

    As I know for Activity is sorted by Modified On, and seems also happening to Note, but need to check again for Note.

    I'm facing the same problem. How did you override the "Created on" date?

    There is an "overriddencreatedon" field that you can use when loading up your data. If you search on that you'll find plenty of info on it. If you actually need some code I could probably resurrect that and post it.

    Hi there, did my response solve your problem? I should have been more specific in my original question, but the gist is that we were importing data through custom code. The created on date was getting set by the system to the date/time of import, not when it was originally created. Thankfully there is the overriddencreatedon field which allows you to use the 'legacy' created on date/time, which CRM then recognizes as the 'real created on' date/time and organizes your imported notes correctly!
