We are not currently using Excel reports but would like to. One issue we have is secutrity. Does anyone know if the FastPath AD configurator handles security for Excel reports as well?
If not, does someone know of a good link for setting up AD security for Excel Reports?

Excel Reports, as well as SQL Reporting Services reports, are the two areas in Dynamics GP that actually uses Windows Authentication credentials instead of SQL authentication user accounts, such as what is used to logon to Dynamics GP.
For Excel Reports, Windows users would need to have access to the shared directories where the Excel Report files and data connections are deployed to, and then would also need to be assigned the RPT_ roles under the DYNAMICS system and/or company databases for Dynamics GP in order to have access to the data pulled into the Excel Reports.

do you cover this in your book 'Building Dashboards with Dynamics GP 2013 and Excel' ? I've been struggling with this security issue as well, thus not publicized the availability of the Excel reports at large...
Excel reports deployed to a file share use AD security at the folder level and SQL security at the database level. Access to the SQL roles can be assigned to AD users or groups. Similarly, Excel reports deployed via SharePoint can be connected to AD with SharePoint permissions.
Essentially, Excel reports already support control via AD without Fastpath.
