Hi Guys,
I am not PA expert and not sure how to calculate WIP by project in GP-PA
I am wondering if it stores in any table or is there any way to calculate from any field?

Well, We also have created views to get information of WIP from different windows, like Project wise WIP detail from timesheets, employee expenses, Purchasing Invoice, Inventory transfer etc. and consolidate all in single worksheet where we get details of project wise WIP.
Thanks Irfan & Mark. However even if GP has report, I need to calculate in my own report as I have report format from my finance director which will be excel based report. It means I need to create store procedure which will retrive data from SQL table. My problem is, I am no sure if there is any field in GP which gives me WIP by project. if it doesnt exist and I need to calculate in my store procedure I am not sure which field should I take and how to calculate (my adding or deducting something)

Under PA reports there is 'Detailed Trial Balance Report'. but it does not provide WIP Balances by Project.
But you can use this report to track movement of WIP during a period.
There is a PA report that details WIP by project. I don't have PA installed on my machine but I think the report is called either WIP or Inventory Trial Balance.
Hi,
We are also using PA in GP for last three years. Unfortunately, there is not any built-in report that pull up information for WIP by projects.
However, we have created some Smartlists, which fetch data, project wise, from every module and then we use it in excel for WIP info project wise.
You can also use Excel Builder for this.
