Where is Security Menu

I created a 30 day trial account and need to add a business unit. It seems this has moved to Settings->Security. However, I don't see Security anywhere. Under Settings I see Business Management, Templates, Product Catalog, Administration, Data Management, etc. but no Security even when scrolling all the way to the right. I am logged in with the account I used to create the trial. That account has Global Administrator rights in Office 365. How can I get to Security?

If you dont see security tile menu under the security section of the navigation

Try to access the security page using below url , replace base url with the your org base url

    baseurl/main.aspx;page=Settings&area=nav_security

Above url will take you directly to security page. If you want to add this Tile menu as part of your site map use Xrmtoolbox site map editor to update your org site map

You need to scroll to see security option, there is very little arrow, either you can click on it or scroll mouse wheel while you are on setting navigation menu.

Once you scroll you will see security option as

    Hope this will help..

Chitra, I did try this URL but it didn't work. What I realized is that no matter which section I select the URL is always baseurl/main.aspx?Origin=Portal&page=Settings&area=nav_administration#......

So clicking on Business Management, Templates, Product Catalog, etc always results in that same URL with area=nav_administration. The only thing that changes is the number after #. When I enter the URL that you mentioned then it adds the #.... at the end and brings me to "Business Management" but not security.

It almost appears to me as if I am missing certain access rights but as mentioned I am logged in with the account I used to create the trial account and that has global admin rights in Office 365. Any other ideas? And why is this not showing up in the first place?

Mahadeo, as mentioned in my original post, even when scrolling all the way to the right there is no Security section.

what about just creating new record like contact that will show you as a owner click on the user record that should take you the user record .Probably from there you can go security menu.

Tried that. I opened a lead where I am the owner. Then clicked on me (the owner). That did bring me to the screen showing my account. However, the navigation on top stayed at Sales -> Leads but then to the right of it added my account name. It did not bring me to the security panel, though. I was able to look at the roles, though and I am assigned the System Administrator and System Customizer role. That should give me access to the security but again it doesn't work.

    Low tech approach:

How about changing the zoom on the screen?  Do you see it then?

By zooming to 50% I get to see 16 tiles across the screen.  Which for Settings should be more than enough to see Security (if it's there).

    If it's not there:

You're using the web client (not a tablet/Outlook or anything)?

It's not there. Please see the screenshot below.

Another way to add a Business Unit.

    Go to Advanced Find

    Select Business Units

    Click on Results

    Click on New

    Can you do that?

If not, and you're definitely using the web client, then I'm almost certain something is screwed up (technical term) with your security role.

Download your organization sitemap from customization and compare with crm 2015 default sitemap.

you will get default site map from here

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg334280.aspx

If security tab is not present in your sitemap copy security sub area from default sitemap to your sitemap..import to cem and publish..

Hope this will bring your security tab back

    Halmu,

Try to load your sitemap using this tool:

    xrmtoolbox.codeplex.com

It is a part of that wonderful xrmtoolbox.

Then load it, and then send as the screen captured after you expand to show all the listed Area.

    Thanks.
