Dynamics Vacation and Sick Accruals Without PTO Manager

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm looking for a way to do the following.

Setup Dynamics GP to track employee accruals without the PTO Manager module. I would like to have a "bucket" of time get assigned to the employee on their hire date each year. Then we can enter time off against it when they use it.

Has anyone had any experiences writing scripts that run each night at midnight to "reset" employees buckets of time? I have many years of SQL programming and figure it would be pretty easy to write a script that accounts for the first 90 days of employment as a trial period and also awards different "bucket" sizes based on length of service.
