Message #xxx missing instead of folder name in SmartList

When opening SmartList, one user often gets the following folder name instead of Financial, Inventory, Sales, and Company.

- Message #17934 missing.

- Message #17935 missing.

- Message #17937 missing.

- Message #17941 missing.

Fixed Assets, Manufacturing, Payroll and Purchasing are showing correctly

Actual GP version 2010: 11.00.1752 (SP2)

SmartLIst 11.00.1734

Anyone knows what could be causing this behavior?

Thanks,

Sylvie

The best thing to do with issues like this is to create a Dexsql.log and read the information at the bottom of the log when the error occurs.

Have you tried creating a new ODBC connection if this is only happening on one machine?

Also I have checked these message numbers no longer exist in the SY01700 table. I would go with a Dexsql.log.

Okay, getting the same error on one of our terminal servers.  Have not had any issues up until this point and other terminal server is fine and same reports don't have errors.  This just started happening and only on the Purchasing SmartLists.  No changes to the server, although it is in a virtual environment.

    We are on GP2012:  11.00.2197 (SP3)

How did this get resolved for other users???

Check these values in below table.

    select * from DYnamics..MESSAGES where MSGNUM=17934

    select * from DYnamics..MESSAGES where MSGNUM=17935

    select * from DYnamics..MESSAGES where MSGNUM=17937

    select * from DYnamics..MESSAGES where MSGNUM=17941

If missing insert from backend and then try your Smartlist Explorer.

    insert into DYnamics..MESSAGES (Language_ID,MSGNUM,SQL_MSG)

    values(0,17934,'Financial')

    insert into DYnamics..MESSAGES (Language_ID,MSGNUM,SQL_MSG)

    values(0,17935,'Sales')

    insert into DYnamics..MESSAGES (Language_ID,MSGNUM,SQL_MSG)

    values(0,17937,'Inventory')

    insert into DYnamics..MESSAGES (Language_ID,MSGNUM,SQL_MSG)

    values(0,17941,'Company')
