Unsubscribe-link in email from marketing lists does not work

We are using Dynamics CRM 365 and the "Dynamics CRM for Outlook 2016"

I have some questions regarding having an unsubscribe link on mails from marketing lists

The only way I have gotten an "unsubscribe"-link in my email is using the Mail merge through Word.

When the user clicks on the text "click to unsubscribe" he gets a new email with a prefilled subject (UNSUBSCRIBE : bla bla)

He sends it but when I look at that contact in Dynamics I still see the image below. And I have no problems sending another email send out to this contact.

I have read some loose rumors that Unsubscribe email does not work on Dynamics online? Is this true?

    I don't think there's any official documentation stating that a feature isn't there. A lot of CRM partners and customers really like http://clickdimensions.com/ as it's embedded in CRM. For other popular marketing tools you can also find integrations.

    Thanks for your reply :). Im looking into *any* unsubscribe method. It seems very strange to me that the functionality is there, both in the settings and Word-mail merge but just does not work.

    I must present this information to my customer that have invested in Dynamics CRM. Do you have any official links to this information?

    What 3:rd party email marketing tools can you recommend?

    You are looking for an automated unsubscribe. That's not available in the default of Dynamics 365.

    If you want to use such functionality you might want to look into email marketing tools. Some have great integration with Dynamics365. If you are willing to wait, Microsoft will launch a new marketing module in the second half of 2017. However it's not clear what the features are and the pricing is also not known.
